You Stole Everything from Me

this picture was drawn for the period before the Spanish-Philippines War took place. The thing is, even now, pre-colonial Philippines barely exists. What I imagined happened in my head is when Rizal was shot, memories came back to her of things that already happened from being sealed off from her trading buddies with limited access to Rizal just politely asking for Independence and being sentenced to death because of it. Spain was very intent on keeping her in his reach because, let's face it, she's in a very good place for trades and such. Now, even though she wanted independence, she couldn't really achieve it. Philippines was strong, but not strong enough and they needed help. That's a story for another time though.

I'm gonna be honest, I really didn't feel like going into a super amount of detail >.>;
I also got demoralized when I wrote another amazing poem like thing and it disappeared without a trace ; 3;
